The IDRT team recently published an article called, “Rectifying a flood data desert one step at a time: a co-created, engaged scholarship approach.” Led by an IDRT Distinguished Partner, Dr. Keri K Stephens, Professor at the Moody College of Communication, The University of Texas at Austin, this field report details the process through which the research team intervened to help Fort Hancock residents gather their own community data that documents their flooding challenges and communicates the need for funding to address their infrastructure issues. The research for this article was conducted during the work produced by IDRT’s Digital Risk Infrastructure Program (DRIP) for Fort Hancock. Click on the button below to read more.
